Morals?

"Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." (Romans 13:8-10)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Mathew 5:27-28)

" He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Morals are lessons about what is right and perfect, derived from a story - for example, the parables in the Bible. I wrote a parable in my novel that I am working on writing:
I leap like a dove inside: pure white like snow uncorrupted by cars. Do you remember brown snow? It’s ugly. The snow that stays white? That’s a person who stays pure despite influences from evil people. The brown snow? That’s the people that become evil, corrupted by desires for wealth and greed and violence.

Christianity isn't just about morals, like some atheists think. It's simply about belief and love: believing in Jesus, accepting His sacrifice, and loving Him with all your heart and soul and mind and spirit. That's the way He loves us. It's good to meditate on morality. It's good to try to be a good person - but it isn't enough. Some people think belief isn't enough. Belief is the "good works" that God wants us to do: be constantly in prayer. Just pray and believe and meditate. Accept Jesus as your Savior and ask His Spirit to come into your heart.

Thats it for now,

Rebecca :)
